A bond between brothers
And a growing willingness to be so close
Swept up cuddles even if they only last a moment
Hand holding
A warm little body next to mine
Exploring the world at our leisure
Seeing the world through their innocent eyes
The simplicity, the laughter. The unbridled joy.
Being surrounded by the change of season. Where naked trees hold burnished leaves still clinging to desperate hope.
It's many things. It's everything.
