Light.

Without it, we are nothing

Bodies in a dark void 

Unknown and unseen.

Light.

Illuminates

Makes all things known

What was hidden is now displayed.

Light.

Makes the lovely lovelier

And even the plain

Is softened and enhanced.

Light.

Has no secrets 

With it comes knowledge

And with knowledge comes power.

Light.

The first words spoken

'Let there be light'

And there was, for all time.
