When it's all too much....

When Christmas carols repeatedly playing on the radio are jangling like a din in your ears

When everywhere you look the garish tinsel and flashing lights on Christmas trees make you want to avert your eyes

When the burden of the Christmas shopping that should be done, no, must be done to keep with expectations weighs heavily on your heart

When there is only so much cooking, creating, baking, wrapping and giving you can manage before you want to hit the 'Eject' button and escape far far away

When tis' the season has lost its meaning somewhere in a sea of empty traditions and you find yourself going through the motions struggling to find even an ounce of good cheer

Know this:

Christmas cannot be bought. Christmas cannot be created. Christmas cannot be made by hand. Christmas can only be found.

In Him.

And only Him.

Beautiful words of truth spoken from the heart x I am in Birthday party mode this week. Looking forward to some traditional church services next week. Charlotte is really keen too. Christmas doesn't feel right otherwise. It is so sad that all the values Jesus stood for are, by so many, turned on their heads in overwhelming greed, materialism and selfishness.

This time of year should be about giving thanks, helping those in need, coming together as communities and families to share in celebration.
