Things I'm Loving 8.6.12

I wholeheartedly believe that no matter what is happening in your life, there is always something you can be thankful for..no matter how simple it is.

Pigtails
Sometimes it's good to break out of the mold. I usually always wear my hair either out or up in a ponytail. So it was fun mixing it up a bit the other day and changing up from a pony to two little piggies!

Coldplay
Loving that my favourite band are playing here later in the year. Loving that I have tickets to go to their only show in Auckland. Almost beside myself with excitement at the thought of hearing Paradise and Princess in China live.

Twister Game
Loving rediscovering how fun this game is. Loving that the game is forming part of some ideas I have floating around in my head for a certain 3-year old's birthday later in the year.

Cable Car Delight
Loving Mama and son time on a sunny afternoon after school. Loving little faces lighting up with delight at the simple things. A vibrating seat that made their voices go all funny. A 60c cone. A ride on an escalator. All little things that all add up to a lovely afternoon.

Wasabi Peckish Thins
I've recently discovered how yummy this brand of rice crackers is. And none more so than the wasabi flavour. Sure you'd have to like wasabi a little to enjoy the sudden rush of spicyness to the head, but they sure are moorish. I tricked the boys into trying one, Noah (who is not good with spicy food) bawled his eyes out (typical reaction), Mylo pulled a few faced but ate it nonetheless. The cheddar cheese and sour cream and chive flavours are also pretty darn tasty too!

Exercise
I wouldn't say I'm an exercise addict, and I often have an internal battle with myself at 5.30am to force myself out of bed to get some daily dozens. But after deliberately taking it easy for a month and doing no exercise at all hoping these unexplained stomach issues would go away, I'd had enough of sitting on the sidelines. Despite still not feeling my old self, I just got out and got on with it this week.  I particularly enjoyed a couple of walk/jogs this week, getting out on beautiful still nights just before dinner as night was falling and feeling the city buzz around me as others were heading home for the evening.

Morning Maestros
Loved hearing these guys belting out some very untuneful sounds on my gran's piano early in the morning - not helped by the fact some keys are seriously out of tune. It's the last sound you'd want to hear if you were hung over, so it was a good thing I wasn't!

Winter Sunsets
Not everything about winter is doom and gloom. Often a nice clear night provides just the right conditions for a stunning sunset. And if I could guarantee every night was like this well, I think I might be tempted to tell winter to stick around for a bit longer. Maybe.

Love those pigtails. I need to get off my rear and do some exercise and I love how the free/cheap stuff with kids is so often the best. The button image still isn't working for me but the link works so I guess that's the most important!

Hee, hee, you cutie! I so need some exercise for my mental health - it's been a couple of weeks (what with one thing and another) - maybe this weekend I'll get out for a run :)

Have a lovely weekend x

You can definitely pull off pigtails, lady! Every time I hear an ad for Coldplay coming here, I think of you :)
Good on you for getting back into the swing of exercising - it can be hard after an enforced break.

Pekish crackers are moorish, although I have not been adventurous like you and have only got as far as the original flavour, maybe need to spice my life up a little more!!
